these are what make man great--
His ladder to the stars"

I’m such a history geek.
BUT! Did you know that in 1991 George H. Bush threw up on the Japanese Prime Minister’s lap?
“When I was a young girl
I would sleep in a tall tree
On the down of bending boughs
And from the mount of his shoulders
I would traverse the valleys
Through his dusk
And dawning eyes…”
-Jesca Hoop

Jackson Pollock
I got to go on a run today with one of my professors. We talked for about an hour about the greats in American art. Well, mostly Jackson Pollock. The more we talked, the more I realized we had in common in terms of artistic taste. And at the same time, I was astounded by how much I learned in such a short time from such a fascinating person. It’s days like these that make me remember why I love this place.
